What is Blackpool and what does Sorare have to do with it?
BlackPool is a company that - simply put - focuses on scarce digital assets (e.g. NFT's). Accordingly, the firm makes large investments on various play-to-earn platforms, including Sorare. The company also has Sorare managers working for it who do not claim to be BlackPool allies. BlackPool thus abides by Sorare's rules, which stipulate only one account per person. Only recently a BlackPool manager left the company and was replaced by a new one on Sorare. There were two breaches of the rules: cards were transferred without XP points being deducted and cards were sent to the accounts of other BlackPool managers in collusion with each other. Since BlackPool and Sorare still have the same investors (Fabric Ventures and Julien Bouteloup), there was logically an uproar in the Sorare community. Meanwhile, Sorare has written in a statement that investors have no operational influence on the game, multi-accounting is not tolerated by anyone and they will pursue the matter accordingly.
