PLAYER CARDS AND POINTS CALCULATION
For a Sorare manager it is essential to know which rarity levels of player cards exist. He should also know how the points are awarded after a live performance of a player and how the bonus looks in detail. This section explains what player cards are available, what their value is and how the number of points including the bonus is calculated.

The white cards are unlimited and primarily help newcomers to Sorare. The other four card colors correspond to four rarity levels. The rarer an NFT card is, the more valuable it is. Depending on the Sorare leagues, different colored player cards are allowed or not. You can find out how to use the cards in the fantasy game here: What leagues are there on Sorare?
General information about the player
Each card has general information about the player such as nationality, age and playing position.
Card serial number
Each NFT card also has its own serial number per season. In this example, it is card number 11 of 100 rare cards for the 2021 season. The serial numbers do not (yet) have any special value in the game.
Information below the cards
The value at the bottom left (here: 33) indicates the average value of the player's scorer points in the last five games. If there is a DNP instead of a number, the player has not played a match during this time.
The 23 on a blue background means that the player can be used in the Sorare League U23.
A blue cross means that the player is currently taking part in competitions that are not all covered by Sorare.
A red cross means that the player is not currently taking part in any competition that is covered by Sorare.
The bonus of the card is also displayed (here: 6.5%), which is made up of the season bonus and the level bonus:
Season bonus
If your player card is from the current season, you will receive a 5% bonus. This bonus is valid until cards from the following season are on the market. The cards for the following season are usually published by Sorare a few weeks after the start of the new season. If a player moves to a club that is not licensed by Sorare, the card retains the bonus for another season. The 5% season bonus is automatically deducted from your cards as soon as the new cards are on the market.
Level bonus
The level bonus depends on the rarity level and the experience points (XP) of your card. You can find a detailed explanation of this below.
Points calculation
In contrast to conventional fantasy games, points are not awarded solely on the basis of live performance on the pitch. The bonus and experience values of a player card also influence the number of points.
The calculation of points for your player therefore depends on two factors:
Points for player performance on the real football pitch(player score) and the bonus (including experience values (XP)) of the player card.
How exactly the calculation is done is now explained in detail.
PLAYER SCORE
The player score on Sorare is the number of points a player receives for his performance on the pitch. The performances are divided into decisive score and all-round score as well as positive and negative actions. For the sake of simplicity, we refer to the decisive score and all-round score as "decisive" and "less decisive" points. Together they make up the total number of points for the player score.
"Crucial" points - actions of great importance
Positive actions: Goal, assist, penalty won, tackle as last man, cleared on the line, clean sheet(goalkeeper only), penalty saved
Negative actions: red card, own goal, penalty caused, mistake leading to goal, three or more goals conceded (goalkeepers only)
The "decisive" points are calculated from the following table. A player in the starting eleven starts at level 0 and with 35 points. A substitute starts at level 0 and with 25 points. For each positive action the player goes up one level, for each negative action one level down:
Level: -1 0 1 2 3 4 5
Points: 15 35 60 70 80 90 100
Examples:
2 goals = level 70
2 goals and 1 assist = 80
2 assists and 1 own goal = 60
1 own goal and 1 red card = 15
"Less-decisive" points - actions of lesser importance
The distribution of points is very different and varies between 0.1 and 12 points for positive actions. Negative actions are scored between -5 and -0.2.
Examples:
Accurate pass: 0.1 points (field player only)
Yellow card: -3 points (for all)
Triple-triple: 12
Total score
Finally, the "decisive" and "less-decisive" points are added together to determine the total score for that match week.
Players with level -1 and 0 are in danger of having their total score drop due to the less-decisive points.
Players with level 1-5, on the other hand, do not receive any minus points. Even if the player has a negative balance in the "less-decisive" points.

BONIFICATION
The final card score is made when the Player Score is multiplied by the bonuses on the cards. There are the following types of bonuses on the player cards:
Captain bonus: 20%
Season bonus: 5%
-Level Bonus
Captain's bonus
This only applies to the player who is the captain of your team. He gets a bonus of 20%.
Seasonal bonus
If your player card is from the current season, you get a 5% bonus. This bonus is valid until cards of the following season are on the market. The cards of the following season are usually published by Sorare a few weeks after the start of the new season. If a player moves to a club that is not licensed by Sorare, the card will keep the bonus for another season.
Level bonus
The level bonus of Sorare depends on the experience points (XP) and rarity value of your card in accordance with a calculation matrix, which we would like to explain to you in more detail.
Experience Points (XP)
Every time your card is used in a game week or placed in a team, the card collects XP (experience points), which in turn can have an effect on the level.
On the left of the picture you can see the number of experience points needed to reach another level.
Each level up corresponds to a bonus of 0.5%.
The XP points can increase by a maximum of 20 levels.
The starting level depends on the rarity level of the card (see section below).
A maximum of 10 levels can be reached in the first season. The maximum points (20) can be earned within 3 years.
Transferred cards initially lose half of the XP.
Example XP with a limited card
In this example - a limited card of the current season (=5% bonus) - the player card has collected 1761 experience points, which is enough to reach level 6. Level 6 in turn means that there is a 3% bonus (0.5% bonus for each level increase). This brings us to the 8% bonus for the player card.
How can experience be gained?
You earn experience points (XP) when you either set up your player card for a match or send the player card into training.
The experience points (XP) are calculated in three levels
Base experience when you field the player (regardless of whether the player is playing or his team has a game at all). Your player card receives 75 XPfor this
minutes played by your SO5 team. Your player card receives a maximum of 75 XP for this, provided that all players in your S05 team have played 90 minutes. The average of the minutes played by all players in your SO5 team counts.
game points scored (player score): Game points x 0.125(max. 12.5 XP, as max. 100 points are possible)
A maximum of 162.5 points per game or training session can be achieved.
Example for the XP calculation
75 XP = base experience (player has been set up)
55.8 XP = minutes played average SO5 team (e.g. 67min x 75 XP / 90min)
3.6 XP = Player Score (28.5 points x 0.125)
134.4 XP = Total experience points collected
Rarity value
The rarity value of the card determines the starting level and the actual bonus.
Limited and rare player cards start at 0 and can reach a maximum of level 20 within 3 years. The bonus at level 20 would therefore be 10% (i.e. always half the level).
Very rare player cards start at 40 and can reach a maximum of level 60.
The maximum bonus would be a unique card with level 100, which could be reached over 3 years. The bonus would then be 50%.
CONCLUSION ON THE BONUS SYSTEM
The bonus can make all the difference when it comes to Sorare rewards and rewards. Especially with the limited cards, where the number of identical player cards is higher, the bonus carries more weight. Therefore, try to use your player cards as often as possible (e.g. in training).
TOTAL SCORE (PLAYER SCORE & BONUS)
At the very end, the points from the player score and the bonuses are added together. We will explain how this works using a simple example:
Points from live performance
70 (starting player, 1 goal, 1 assist)
Points from bonus
Captain: no
Card from current season: 5%
Rare player card level 5: 2.5%
Calculation
70 points x (1 + 7.5%) = 75.25 points Total
Live Performance Factor Bonus
New: Fitness bonus
the fitness bonus is a new card bonus and ranges from 0-10 percent
All player cards start with a 10 percent fitness bonus
A player card's fitness bonus is reduced if the card is in the lineup for a game week and starts or substitutes for their team in that game week
Cards which are used in a game week receive a 10 percent bonus when fully fit
If a player card is not used, the player "recovers" and the fitness bonus increases again
Managers can send their players who need a break to the so-called physio center to restore their fitness faster
Rest packs (Physio Item) will also be available in the Club Shop, can be bought with coins or money, or can be won as a reward
Please note: The fitness bonus has currently been put back by Sorare!
Do cards from last season also have a value?
Player cards that are not from the current season will not be penalized greatly in the scoring. Cards from the current season will only receive a 5% surcharge in the scoring. If the player is with a club which is not (anymore) licensed by Sorare, the card will keep the bonus for another season. The new season bonus expires as soon as the first game week starts with the first national league game for the club of your player card.
