LEAGUES AND COMPETITIONS

Here you will get to know the different competitions of Sorare, which you can join with your teams.

NEW FORMAT. There are three different competition groups: Champions, Challengers and Contenders. These are in turn divided into IN SEASON (cards from the current season) and CLASSIC SEASON (cards from previous seasons). There are also competitions specifically for individual leagues, such as the Premier League. From August 2024, this offer is to be continuously expanded (for the Bundesliga, La Liga, etc.).

OLD FORMAT. Sorare is currently also continuing its older formats: U23, Global All-Star, Cap 220-240-270 and the training teams.

GAME WEEKS

There are two tournaments/gameweeks per week for ALL FORMATS:

Friday - Tuesday 10am UTC (Deadline Friday 12pm CET)
Tuesday - Friday 10am UTC (Deadline Tuesday 12pm CET)

NEW FORMAT: Subgroups

Sorare In Season, classic season

The individual competitions (Champions, Challangers, Contenders and individual leagues such as the Premier League) are grouped into IN SEASON and CLASSIC SEASON. You can set up a maximum of 3 teams per competition and rarity level (see below). IN SEASON means that 4 of the 5 player cards in the team must be from the current season (for Super-Rare and Unique 3 of 5). In the CLASSIC SEASON, however, any number of old cards can be used.

The NEW FORMAT is also divided into rarity levels. However, all card rarities are eligible for competitions below their rarity. For example, a "Super Rare" player card from the Premier League is eligible for "Super Rare", "Rare" and "Limited" competitions if this player card fulfills the requirements for the competition.

The above competitions only take place if there are at least 10 licensed teams per round and competition. If this is not the case, the cards can be used in other competitions.

NEW FORMAT: Divisions

Sorare In Season, classic season

Your teams are also divided into divisions in the competitions (there are usually 4 divisions), where promotion and relegation is possible. New managers start in the lowest (4th) division and compete against other managers and teams of a similar level. With promotion to higher divisions comes the possibility of better rewards. However, the higher the team climbs, the tougher the competition becomes.

Below you will find an example of the promotion and relegation structure (limited player cards):

  • Division 1: The bottom 50 percent are relegated

  • Division 2: The first 20 percent are promoted, the last 30 percent are relegated

  • Division 3: The first 25 percent are promoted, the last 25 percent are relegated.

  • With a divisional structure, you compete against managers of a similar level, and there is something to win every game week.

Side games

There are also game formats that do not belong to Sorare but can be played with Sorare cards (e.g. Sorare-Mega or Soraredata). These differ in part from the 5-team leagues of Sorare, but are no less interesting because of that. By the way, you can find an explanation of Soraredata here: Soraredata League and Cup.

League coverage

Sorare will only cover leagues if they have licensed clubs in that league (the Chinese Super League will still be covered as coverage was introduced here before the rule). Cards in unlicensed leagues competing for card rewards from licensed clubs would lead to an unhealthy balance of play.

Here you can find a list of leagues and clubs that have been licensed on Sorare since when:
