Sorare Cash Wallet
What is the cash wallet?
The Cash Wallet offers a secure and effortless solution for transactions on Sorare.
It serves as a virtual wallet where you can buy, sell and exchange player cards with Euros (EUR), British Pounds (GBP) and US Dollars (USD).
Rewards can also be received in cash via the platform. Sorare is working with the fintech company Mangopay on this.
Cash Wallet is accessible in 215 countries (see list here).
Cash deposit
There are several methods to safely deposit and store money in the cash wallet.
You can deposit money from a bank account to your Cash Wallet. This feature is available for all supported currencies (EUR, GBP and USD).
You can also use a credit/debit card to deposit money into your Cash Wallet.
At a later date, Sorare also plans to support ApplePay, Google Pay and perhaps even paypal.

Please note that you cannot withdraw ETH from your ETH wallet directly to your bank account.

To activate your Cash Wallet, you will need to provide information such as your full name, email address, country of residence, nationality and date of birth.
You will then be prompted to choose your preferred currency for your balance.
Remember that this choice is permanent and will affect the display of ticket prices.
In order to access features such as withdrawals, deposits, and reward entitlements, you must present an ID for verification.
You can freely switch between cash wallet and ETH wallet at any time.
Sorare crypto wallet
The Sorare crypto wallet offers its users a variety of functions that enable simple and flexible management of cryptocurrencies. The most important features include:
Deposit to the Sorare crypto wallet
Users have the option of transferring cryptocurrencies from an external wallet to their Sorare crypto wallet. This enables a smooth integration of funds from different sources.
Deposit from a trading platform (e.g. Binance) to Meta-Mask and then to the Sorare wallet
This function allows Ethereum deposits from trading platforms such as Binance to first be transferred to the Meta-Mask wallet and then seamlessly transferred to the Sorare wallet.
Withdrawal from Sorare wallet to Metamask
Users have the flexibility to transfer Ethereum from their Sorare wallet to Meta-Mask and from there to another trading platform of their choice.
Deposit by credit card (Ramp or Moonpay)
The Sorare crypto wallet also allows deposits via credit cards, whereby services such as Ramp or Moonpay can be used. This facilitates access to cryptocurrencies.
Deposit by credit card or bank transfer in local currency
Users have the option of transferring cryptocurrencies to their Sorare crypto wallet by depositing by credit card or bank transfer in their local currency.
Links MetaMask explanation
Deposit via crypot wallet to the Sorare crypto wallet.
You can load Ethereum onto your Sorare account (wallet) via a crypto wallet. Ethereum can be purchased via the trading platforms Coinbase or Binance, for example, and transferred to your Sorare wallet via a crypto wallet (e.g. MetaMask). This way, you are also ready when you want to withdraw your money. The process is relatively simple: click on your Sorare wallet, then on "Link my wallet" and select MetaMask, for example (MetaMask must be active). The first time, a transaction must be carried out to confirm and link the two accounts/wallets. Once this is done, you can make transfers between your MetaMask and Sorare wallet.
Attention: Transactions from Ethereum via a trading platform to MetaMask as well as to the Sorare wallet are currently still subject to high transaction fees (gas fee). Therefore, we recommend that you deposit by credit card (see the following section).
Deposit with a credit card to the Sorare crypto wallet
There is an option to buy Ethereum directly via credit card. To do this, you use Ramp (or Moonpay) - a crypto app embedded in Sorare (a bit like a crypto version of Paypal). You can find the credit card option in your Sorare wallet (see image above).
But first you have to register - at least with Ramp - and identify yourself with an ID or passport. This can take a little time.
Purchase a player card directly with a credit card
It is possible to buy Sorare player cards directly by credit card (without using the Sorare wallet). You can also use Ramp or Moonpay for this. Please note, however, that there are only no fees for "new player card purchases". For the manager sale, however, 10%.
Note
When transferring Ethereum, there are fees that can make up a significant portion of your payment. The main fee to worry about is the "gas" fee - essentially, this is the fee that covers moving ETH between crypto wallets and trading platforms. Gas fees can fluctuate wildly throughout the day and week. So it's worth keeping an eye on this and looking out for cheaper times to transfer funds.
