BUNDESLIGA AUSTRIA

Welcome to the "Bundesliga in Austria - Alpine Football Gaudi"! It's as cold as a glacier here, but the soccer is as hot as a Kaiserschmarrn fresh from the oven!

In Austria, they have their own soccer league, and they don't call it the "Bundesliga" for nothing - it almost sounds like the players are official Bundes-Knödel champions!

The teams have names that sound as funny as Alpine cowbells - Red Bull Salzburg, Rapid Wien and Austria Wien - as if they let out an Alpine yodel with every goal!

The players here are like Schuhplattler with the ball! They juggle it as if they were dancing at a hearty Hüttengaudi! The dribbles are so nimble that you think they're waving their lederhosen around the defenders!

But stop! It gets even more quaint! The goal cheers are so original you'll think they've started their own Zillertaler Dirndl show on the pitch! Some cheer like Tyrolean folk dancers, others hop like little marmots at the Wiesn and one even tried to fill the goal net with a Wiener schnitzel - delicious!

The fans here are also mega-fun. They cheer for their teams as if they were at a huge apres-ski party mountain festival! The stadiums are full of traditional costumes and lederhosen, as if they were a huge folk music parade!

And then the coaches - they stand on the sidelines like ski instructors in a crazy slalom race! Their gestures could easily appear in an Almdudler commercial!

And when a team wins the championship, we celebrate as if it were the victory in the yodeling competition! There will be fireworks, doughnuts and certainly lots of Kaiserschmarrn for everyone!
